Do you mean
- you removed the two bind lines from your fstab.
- two rbind lines in rc.local made /mnt/data/{matlab,rdl} dirs
permission 770 and 2770?
Did you check the original permissin of /mnt/host-a/ss/matlab and
/mnt/host-b/mod/data/rdl?
