#
#floppy -fstype=vfat,suid :/dev/fd0

Hi ,
I dont know why you want the files in a removable media
to be owned by a user.

If you concern is to write into removable media , set proper umask
value
your /etc/auto.misc should contain

floppy -fstype=vfat,umask=000 :/dev/fd0

note that this umask read.write, execute permission for user, group.and
others.

IF yours is a single user system you can set uid=<your uid> and have rw
permissions.

If yours is a multi user system it is better to play with umask settings .

you can also specify "sync" option to immediate write

All these options are documented in manual pages.

hope that helps

#Apparently autofs executes mount with the real id. of root, where I
#would expect that it executes mount with the real id. of the end user.
#
#Am I right ? Does anybody know how to obtain the right behavior (file
#system mounted as owned by the user not by root) ?
#
#Thanks in advance for any advice.
