Details - my instant messaging client, pidgin, uses the systray to inform me of
new messages. upon receiving a new message an icon appears. upon reading the
message the icon disappears.
since upgrading to awesome 3.4.7, when the icon disappears it leaves behind
empty space. after a long conversation, half of my top wibox is full of empty
space!
