My grandfather, Edmund Sebastian RAPOZA Sr. was born in 1918 in New Bedford, MA. My grandfather's only living sibling is my great Aunt who is now 86. Another person asked for information for this (my) family back in 2007. and this was the information: family of Sebastiao RAPOZO and wife Caroline PERPETUA whose son is Jose Sebastiao RAPOZO b. 10 Jan 1894, Santa Luzia, Pico. Joseph Sebastian RAPOZO was a seaman aboard the Morning Star, a whaler, left Fayal 8 Oct 1910 , discharged New Bedford, MA ., August1912, aged 16. He was on the last voyage of the Morning Star. He married at St John the Baptist, New Bedford, Mary C. TAVARES b. 30 March 1897 Horta, Fayal daughter of Joao TAVARES & Quiteria da CONCEICAO. Anyone who can go back further I would appreciate any information. I just started looking into genealogy in the past few months.
