if you download the source you'll find familiar cygwin dll's in the zip 
file. So it is cygwin based, i cant imagine it being any different to 
current cygwin based rsync implementations.

however the additional options of bandwidth limitation and Welcome 
message may be useful in limiting the impact on client pc's when a 
backup occurs. Again testing would need to be done, I too would be 
interested to see some test results, but testing this is job number 502 
on the list ;)

its also based on rsync 2.6.9

just checking standard rsync options.....

--bwlimit=KBPS          limit I/O bandwidth; KBytes per second

....i bet this is all that its doing for bandwidth 
limiting...implementing the rsync option for --bwlimit.

I haven't used that yet. has anyone used rsyncd from a windows server 
and used --bwlimit?
