method 1:

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 /etc/rc.d/rc.bacula start

method 2:

add the line LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 to the bacula startup script

other variations are possible.  These are the simplest two that sprang
immediately to mind.
