A very good question.

For instance Bijou Straun translated the Master's talk in San Francisco on 10 Oct. 1912 where He made His (now) controversial (to some) talk on evolution.
(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 359)

Perhaps if we knew more about Straun we could better judge the accuracy of his notes.

Subject: Notetakers for Promulgation of Universal Peace

Is there any biographical information available about the people
who took notes for Abdu'l Baha's talks that are in Promulgation
 of Universal Peace?
Howard MacNutt is well known of course, but what about
Marzieh Moss, Bijou Straun, Sigel Brooks, Joseph Hannen,
Esther foster, "Miss Dixon"?
Bijou Straun, for example, took the English notes for two
of the most noteworthy talks: the one at Temple Emmanu-El
and the one at Stanford University.
What became of these people who took notes?  Does anyone know?
