They are the same.  In fact, this is the case for the old Blackberry
and the Pearl as well.  The new IDs were only added for new functionality.
i.e. when usb demanded it, by needing new configurations for Mass Storage.

Alternately, if the Curve is basically the Pearl from a USB standpoint,
then the same ID's make sense.  From my testing, this seems to be the case.

One thing that Barry could do to help identify the device is to probe
it more closely for the manufacturer name, model, version, etc.
I remember seeing more data being extracted from the device while
reading the USB logs, but haven't implemented it yet.

Of course, if software architecture relies on USB IDs only, then this
won't help.
