Yeah, that would definitely be fine, since the default visibility is
"default", which matches what you want.  I'm not sure how
-fvisibility=hidden works without breaking includes of external
headers, since it changes the default visibility, but I'm guessing
that the compiler simply differentiates between <> and "" includes,
and refrains from changing the default visibility inside headers
included with <>.
