Hi Alan,

Thanks for the detailed debug information.

I did test a Curve a while back, and I believe it is just a Pearl in a
different housing.  I forget which model number I had at the time,
but doing a quick search through old mailing list posts, other people
have had the 8310 working, without a password turned on.

I'm seeing a new batch of bugs, though, in connection with mass storage
running at the same time.  You might try unloading usb_storage
and trying the btool tests again.

Your particular error is new, running out of password attempts.  I'll have
to take a closer look at that when I'm more awake.
