The sports committee has secured the Party Patio again this year for the San
Jose Giants Marvel's Defenders of the Diamond Night, on Saturday, July 30.
Who: The Bay Area Science Fiction Association
What: Minor League Baseball Game of Rancho Cucamonga Quakes vs San Jose Giants
Where: The stadium formerly known as Municipal Stadium (aka Excite Ballpark)
588 East Alma Ave, San Jose
Why: Because we can.
When: Sunday, July 30, 2022 (game starts at 6 p.m.)
Cost: $70 per person (if you want to pay more, that would be nice…)
Includes: Game Ticket (with entry though the Season Ticket Holder Gate), First
base Party Patio <https://www.milb.com/san-jose/tickets/party-patio> Access
Wristband, Two (Adult) Drink Tickets, Unlimited 90-minute BBQ meal service,
plus Unlimited Ballpark Snacks, Soda and Water.
I will probably ask for the same three BBQ food selections that we made last
year (tri-tip, pulled pork, and burgers). Vegetarians let me know you are
coming, and I will put in for some vege-burgers like we did last year.
They will not be having any costumed appearances (ie: The 501st on Star Wars
Day) but they are highly encouraging fans to dress up in their (Marvel)
superhero costumes. The team will be in Marvel themed jerseys, so I expect
there will be a jersey auction taking place.
