bts-links remote/ module covers a fair amount of bug trackers and seems to work well. It could be useful outside of bts-link as well; in particular, I would be interested in adding importers in bugs everywhere (http://www.bugseverywhere.org), a distributed bug tracker. Other uses I could think of is to support local frontends for bug trackers and tools helping debian developers to forward bugs upstream. What do you think of splitting it out as a separate python module for accessing bug trackers from python?
