Thanks for your suggestion. In fact it is already in a reusable format. The keyboard layouts are in a js file whereas the converters are in another one, etc. The main page just hooks the text box with keydown and keyup functions and provides interface functionalities. I have thought about creating and maintaining something like it on behalf of Ankur, but never got around to it.
