This sounds great.  That said, experimenting specifically with this did nothing.

I tried:
   'tmp=:usr' 1!:2 <jpath '~bin/appboot.ijs'

And, then, in a new session,
   '~temp' -:&jpath '~user'
0

I don't really want temp and user to be the same -- the j602b approach
of having temp as a subdirectory of user seems very nice, from my
point of view.  But I would like to understand appboot.

Any tips?
