TGen to hold 2006 Pancreatic Cancer Research Symposium

The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) will hold the 2006
Pancreatic Cancer Research Symposium in Phoenix, on Friday, December 1,
2006. The Symposium features guest speakers from Johns Hopkins
University, Barrow Neurological Institute, and Massachusetts General
Hospital Cancer Center and will focus on current and new therapies for
pancreatic cancer patients, including vaccines, radiotherapy and new
genetic findings in the laboratory.
Attendees will be given the opportunity to donate a small blood sample
for future genetic research in pancreatic cancer. This collection of
samples from healthy individuals will be important to genetically
compare samples from pancreatic cancer patients.
The Fourth Annual Seena Magowitz Golf Classic and 5K Walk will follow
the Symposium, on December 2, 2006.
