INTRODUCTION

 
LSFI is one of the non-profit organization established for the promotion and
popularization of the emerging areas of science and technology. As part of
its educational programmes, LSFI is introducing a new, innovative and
cutting edge curricula based Post-Graduate Diploma Course in
Nano-Biotechnology through distance mode with the excellent expertise.
Nanobiotechnology being the new wave, has the tremendous scope in advanced
biomedical research demanding high-tech skill based technical approaches
such as genetic engineering, tissue engineering, nanoengineering etc, which
explores the excellent and greater career prospects and employment
opportunities.
 

FEATURES OF COURSE

 
Ø     Excellent career prospects and employment opportunities.
Ø     This course is for the period of one academic year. 
Ø     The course is focused on the essential fundamental knowledge about the
nanobiotechnology and its advanced biomedical applications, covering many
topics like current research interest such as medical nanorobotics ,
artificial organ , DNA chip, smart bomb for cancer, nanodiagnostic tool for
cancer , treatment nanosystem for heart, nanosurgeries, nanomanipulation
system, nanofabrication, synthesis of nanomaterials,Nano drug delivery
system, nanobiotechnology for HIV virus and its diagnosis and treatment,
etc.
Ø     The study material (books) will be provided from the department. 
Ø     Students need to submit project / dissertation / assignment for the
fulfillment of the course.  
Ø     Students may be placed for the industrial internships / workshops
depending on the availability of the opportunities. 
 
 

ELIGIBILITY

 
Ø     Graduates / Post-graduates / Part-Time / Working professionals / Young
Scientists with Life sciences disciplines background are eligible.
Ø     Candidates from Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, MBBS, Nursing,
BioChemistry, Biology, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary and other
disciplines with keen interest are all eligible.
Ø     Age shall be above 18 years, with minimum 45 % in any of the
qualifying examination. 
 

HOW TO APPLY

 
Ø     Interested students may obtain the prescribed Application Form by
sending Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 200/- to “LSFI office, Dept of
Nanobiotechnology, Morigeri – 583220” by ordinary post only.   
Ø     One self-addressed envelope (9 X 12 inches) affixed with Rs. 10 stamps
may be enclosed.
Ø     DD shall be drawn in favour of “Director, Department of
Nanobiotechnology, LSFI” payable at “State Bank of Mysore, Huvinahadagali
(Branch code is 4-0122)”.
Ø     Candidate are advised to write their name and address on the backside
of the Bank Draft.
