Julie,
Kelp is used as a natural mineral supplement for all classes of
livestock, and people too! It comes in a 50 lb sack usually, in a
granular form.
Kale is a plant similar to cabbage, and is planted as a succulent winter
feed. (It is also people food.) The animals are turned out on it to
graze it fresh.
So both plants are sheep food! But what you are looking for as a
supplement is kelp.
