If not kidney disease, then possible dehydration, or just not eating. The BUN goes high when the energy balance goes negative from not eating. I would suggest anything but a high protein diet and lots of water. Hopefully the vet is giving IV fluids.

Carol, Garland suggested that the ewe might be dehydrated...needs more salt daily to encourage drinking water...but all of this should be known by the vet.

What immediately comes to mind is too much protein in the diet, unless there is a disease present. Can we find out what the ewe has been eating?? Sorry to hear that a beloved pet sheep is in trouble.
