hello everyone!

My apologies to everyone who has been trying to reach me via phone or detailed email. I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for ATT to repair a problem with my phone line at home. I have had almost no internet access from home since mid DEC. Now I am waiting for ATT to send out a boom truck so they can check a junction box up on my electric termination pole. If that is not the problem then they are going to have to string new wire from the street to the termination pole. Back in the days when ATT was a monopoly service was one of their bragging points. Thanks to the government stepping in to make things 'better' service is a memory of a distant past!

I will be starting the JAN west coast transport trip about JAN 15th. The route appears to be:

TX TN IL MO CO OR WA TX

I had several tentative legs but the people involved have stopped communicating with me so I have to assume they have changed their plans. It is very difficult for me to 'plan' when people do not bother to take the time to tell me when their plans change. I would hate to leave animals stranded due to lack of communication but at some point I have to make decisions based upon the confirmed information I have at that time.

I am pretty much fully loaded going westbound but I have space coming eastbound and can change my route from WA to TX based upon last minute reservations. I will be checking email while on the road via WiFi but last minute additions must have time to get vet papers before I can pick up the animals and legally transport them. I always need names addresses phone numbers for both ends in order to add stops to a trip.

Gasoline prices have started going up rapidly since Christmas. If this a long term trend then this may be the lowest fees for transport that you will see in 2012. My fees are tied into gasoline prices via my formula. As gas goes up my formula raises my fees to match.

I will be available for 'limo' style trips in FEB but I do not see coast to coast marathons in my future for a while. This old man is getting tired and the equipment needs extensive maintenance to get back to 100% functionality. The long trips are a severe drain on man and machine!
