Yes, that's correct. Although I'm not sure if very much software
requires 2.x yet, probably since all the 2.x versions are still test
releases. Annoying, since 1.x is equivalent to the somewhat dated Gtk+
2.2 and Gnome 2.4.

Not really, since the list of files shows everything I'd expect to see -
the second listing indicates that both versions of gtk-sharp are
installed with all their optional packages built.

So you've got gtksourceview-sharp installed, going by the listing -
correct?

In that case, what exactly does monodevelop report when you try to build
it? It'll be using pkgconfig to lookup the packages you need - which
ones does it fail on? Can you copy the relevant output from configure?
