Yes, that's correct. Although I'm not sure if very much software requires 2.x yet, probably since all the 2.x versions are still test releases. Annoying, since 1.x is equivalent to the somewhat dated Gtk+ 2.2 and Gnome 2.4. > Do ypu make anything of it from the above? In that case, what exactly does monodevelop report when you try to build it? It'll be using pkgconfig to lookup the packages you need - which ones does it fail on? Can you copy the relevant output from configure? Simon.
