Yes udev has changed, because the kernel has changed, because a network 
device today is not the same as a network device in 1995.Asregards the 
naming of network interfaces, the new udev rule is 
/lib/udev/rules.d/80-net-name-slot.rules. A common way to supersede it 
is to add a link in /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-name-slot.rules -> /dev/null.
