Hi Alan, Yes it was but, this is not the only Systemax computer this happened with. It's happened with both my Systemax computers & it seemed like running Jaws had something to do with whatever sound problem was giving me fits. I talked to their tech support people & they couldn't figure exactly what might be the culprit but, they wanted me to ship the computers back to them so they could have a look at them. 1 of the computers is a dual boot system & I didn't feel like going through the hassle of setting up both systems again after they got finished doing whatever troubleshooting they were going to do. They had told me that all drives would have to be wiped clean to see where the trouble might be starting from. Long story short, I figured it was easier for me to have new soundcards installed & run Jaws through an external soundcard & since I've done that, no sound problems at all! Take care. The people I bought my computer from didn't want to believe it because they didn't want to have to warranty it but, I eventually just in stalled a Soundblaster soundcard for all sounds except for Jaws, which I run through a USB soundcard.
