These days scanners are quite forgiving and anything on the shelf these days
will be windows 7 or 8 compatible.

I have an HP on this system that is several years old that was given to me
and although it took some work I managed to find a windows 7 driver for it.
Now the Epson I got in 2001 will not work with 7 no matter how much sleight
of hand I try. Fortunately it is on an XP system so no problem there for
now.

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from
a simpler system that worked perfectly.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] scanner

Well it is I again. Steve Gomes with another question. It is time for a new
toy. I want to get a scanner for scanning printed pages. Lets say I get a
form and need to fill it out and send it back. I don't need a real fancy one
but I wonder what you would recommend. I have ABBY fine reader and Jaws.
thanks
