I am about to mount up a set of 225/45-17 Vredstein Sessanta tires on
8”x17” rims on my 96 318ti Sport and I am wondering what would be a good
starting point for tire pressures? The recommended pressures on Vredstein’s
site seem a bit high and I was wondering what the factory pressures may be for
this size tire as I know it is marketed with them in some regions? Also, I am
even more interested in what everyone finds works for them with this size
combination for mostly spirited street driving on good to rather potholed and
rough roads?

Thanks,
Dave in Richmond

Anyone know the thread pitch on the E30 radiator plug. I see from RealOEM
that it's 10mm diameter but I'd like to replace it with a metal equivalent.

Why would you do that? It's plastic for a reason.

OK, that d**ed window motion sensor on the passenger side if the M3
(coupe) is not working again tried pushing that magnet (black disk) on the
motor shaft toward the front of the car and it worked for a day. I see
where you can just buy the motor for the regulator. You don't get a lot of
movement on that ring.

Can the motor be removed without removing the whole regulator system by
drilling out the bolts? How is the motor then reattached to the regulator?

Vredestein recommends 42 psi front and 39 psi rear. Mixture of highway and
city/rural and I drive sane, but spirited...okay, not so sane, I have been
known to chase Vette's through the twisties. Usually jsut me and and my
computer bag, computer bag and goodies go maybe 50lbs or so...me I am going
about 380 right now. I do have TC Klein D/A coil-overs on it with 450/500lb
springs...changing to 400/500lb very soon.

Thanks Gary,
Dave
