Mmm?  The Practice Effect was such a nice, light, romping adventure.  It
doesn't seem quite right to subject it to rigorous analysis.

Glory Season is too long, and Earth is a little too literal..  How about The
Uplift War?  It is sufficiently isolated from the other five Uplift novels
to make it analyzable (is that a word?) without getting involved in its
connections to other books.
