Follow-up Comment #1, bug #23742 (project findutils):
What does find -printf '%Fn' print for files on such 'network shares'?
Does the updatedb script exclude such filesystems?
In general though, you are likely to get better support for the Cygwin port
of GNU tools on the Cygwin mailing list.
