I think having a nightly release is a good idea.
Could you volunteer to do this? A script that gets the source from CVS, packages it up and makes it available with a suitable warning about it being unstable development code.
Either a release or a cvs tar ball.
Are these two different things? I assumed the nightly "release" (though I'd strongly prefer to call it a "snapshot") would be the code from CVS packaged as a tar ball.
