I've been trying to combine the code. It's detecting the network card
now ...

Also fails. This time:


GRUB version 0.5.93

grub> kernel= (hd0,2)/usr/local

 Selected cylinder exceeds maximum supported by BIOS


I'm assuming that with a modern machine in LBA mode and stage1_lba I
should be able to use the whole disc. Am I mistaken?
