  Thank you. Almost all the messages are just robbed of the manual,
and I haven't checked for them yet.

  When you specify a BSD partition, you can use a shortcut like this:

(hd0,a)

In this case, GRUB searches a BSD slice which has a-partition, and if
(hd0,0) has it, (hd0,a) is expanded into (hd0,0,a), and if (hd0,1) has
it, into (hd0,1,a). I think "automatic determination" means that,
though I'm not sure because the line is not written by me.
