Did you read the performance tuning docs?  If you are affected by that kind of
limit, you're using the wrong MPM.

I'll leave this open, because you do have a point: the KeepAliveTimeout
documentation looks as if it hasn't been updated since Apache 1.x.  What it
needs is a link to an article explaining how choice of MPM affects this.
(This seems to imply setting it to ASSIGNED, as bugzilla isn't offering the
option to revert to NEW).
