This was one of the more "naughty" parts of learning Arabic, something that I learned outside of the classroom. Some of what I'd written down were swearwords in the Libyan dialect, and the rest was standard name calling from the Lebanese/Syrian dialects. The Libyan word "manyaak" is a pretty nasty word, and it's more or less equivalent to the f-word --leave it to the Libyans -- (though I'm pretty uncomfortable with it in any language.) The words "bin sharmuuta" is a very uncomplimentary term casting scorn about one's parentage, "bin" meaning son-of, and "sharmuuta"means, to put it nicely, an un-chaste woman.
As for "Ma'a s-sarami", it's a uncomplimentary way of saying "see ya' later", which is always "ma'a s-salami" (meaning more or less "go in peace'.) Now, if you say "Ma'a s-sarami" while parting, it means "with the shoes", implying that people will walk over him with their shoes (the bottom of the shoes or the feet for that matter being considered very unclean.) Anyhoo, that's their meanings and I apologize for my stooping to use them.
Before I go, are you interested in kites? I make my kites out of ripstop nylon, though I'm not too good at applique yet. I'm strictly a single-line kiteflier (though people in our kite club cover the entire spectrum of kitemaking and kiteflying.) Well, back to the hunt for the Andorran info. See ya'!
