Around 2 pm as I was driving along Triphammer Rd in Cayuga Heights, a gang of TURKEY VULTURES rose suddenly out of the stand of pines along the W side of the road just a few hundred yards north of Community Corners. There were about 30 birds- hard to count through my windshield as they wheeled upward in a tight bunch. It looked as if they had been roosting and were flushed out by something. They headed off in a southwesterly direction.
