Sorry guys about not specifying where I was when I saw the eagle. I was using my iPhone and it was the 1st or 2nd time I sent an email to the CBC site. Anyway, I was hiding behind the Observatory on Hammond Hill to get a break from the wind. I couldn't see directly south, but I could scope east and west. Sure enough, I saw a GOLDEN EAGLE soaring just north of IC. I followed it as it came closer. It flapped it's wings, but generally stayed in a soaring mode. I watched it traveling through the trees, then.......it was out of sight. It took only a number of seconds viewing it, and, of course, not long enough. Good Birding, Ann
