Had a MERLIN perched for about a minute at the very top of a snag at the edge of my pond on Burns Road in Brooktondale about 7:30 this morning. It flew off to the northwest.
Also this morning, a RUFFED GROUSE was drumming off to the south. And EASTERN BLUEBIRDS are checking out one of the nestboxes in my yard. Ya gotta love spring! :) Annette Nadeau Brooktondale -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
