We have been in Austin since April 1 but our daughter has been house sitting for us and reported 40 Siskins at our feeders on Hunt Hill Rd, east of Ithaca ,today! We did a week of birding along the Gulf Coast from High Island to Brownsville. Loads of waders, a good variety of warblers and lots of Mockingbirds and White-eyed Vireos, probably the most abundant birds in Texas ;) Home tomorrow and looking forward to seeing what shows up in the yard.
