My yard & all surrounding fields & lawns are suddenly FULL of beautiful black crows. I haven't been to Auburn, NY yet at night lately to see any but feel sure these must be part of the thousands that roost there every winter. I've never had them come in such great nos. to just feed &, I assume, socialize all around us on the ground.

Had the 1st dark-eyed junco on my bedroom window-sill feeding area this a.m. but others have been at the feeders up on the hill for a couple wks.. For the 1st time ever, tit-mice & white-breasted nuthatches have been coming to the window sill, too. "Boy" cat wishes .... as his tail swings ....

The Eagle Scout sign at Mill Pond on Rte. 90 still shows the green heron as a pileated woodpecker.
