On the AutoLoop at MNWR today , I saw two different Common Gallinules climb cattails to get to the pollen.
They were eating it themselves and also feeding it to their young. The 30 sec picknit also shows some Gallinule parenting. https://www.flickr.com/photos/105424358@N06/34664986423/in/datetaken-public/ [X]Gallinule and pollen 6-22-17 MNWR Auto Loop<https://www.flickr.com/photos/105424358@N06/34664986423/in/datetaken-public/> [https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4236/34664986423_d2c7b12b73_b.jpg] <https://www.flickr.com/photos/105424358@N06/34664986423/> [https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4236/34664986423_d2c7b12b73_b.jpg] -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
