“My” six-mile-creek Louisiana Waterthrush is also back this afternoon, not singing like I was listening for, but calling its sharp chip calls as it surveyed its turf up back and forth along the creek before landing fairly close on a tree for good ID-confirming views of its tail-pumping gray-and-white warbler shape.
