This afternoon I got a 3rd hand report via Reuben Stoltzfus from birding friends of Adam Troyer, so I give it high credibility, of what may be a first for Tioga County, an Upland Sandpiper in a hay field on a hilltop dairy farm at 3134 Long Creek Rd, Owego. Derek Green should be checking it out by now, but meanwhile Reuben says that birders are welcome to check it out or call 607-223-4427, the farm of Marty Schlabaugh (not the birder from Interlaken with a differently spelled last name).
