I notice if I put them out late, it takes longer for them to start using them. I also find the individual station feeders get more use that the mesh or screen type.
I thought I overpaid for a used 8 station Droll Yankee Thistle Feeder for $10 (old style tube with aluminum perches and guards). It clearly gets most of the use. Easier to clean at the end of the season. They still sell them new but they're not cheap. $10 was a steal. ________________________________ From: bounce-127291899-88968...@list.cornell.edu <bounce-127291899-88968...@list.cornell.edu> on behalf of Jerry Skinner <jay2...@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, April 7, 2023 12:49:46 PM To: CAYUGABIRDS-L <cayugabird...@list.cornell.edu> Subject: [cayugabirds-l] Nyger seed For the past two winters birds have been ignoring my nyger feeders. Is anyone else experiencing this? I wonder if there has been a change in the seed itself.
