Two Broad-winged Hawks are soaring low over my West Danby hillside in the mid-day sunshine. The Ravens, who have gone quiet and seem to have nestlings now, are not pleased with these new arrivals, and one of them is attempting to drive the hawks away. He has the size advantage, and he’s very serious!
