indeed 1.5 also supports tfs, but the 1.6 has several fixes on it, security
related and so.
as long as you do not run into these, you're fine.

I do not really understand what you mean with :

I never used the tfs in a multi source-control block, but if this indeed
does not work, it is a bug (I can not see a direct reason it does not work
though).
what do yo mean with 'solution' --> a VisualStudio (VS) solution?
this can hold dozens of VS projects, I have VS-solutions which have about 50
VS projects.

keep in mind that TFS works with 'workspaces', I find this the most
irritating part of TFS,
in my opinion this really downgrades TFS.
