Dear colleagues, We are looking to expand our team with a postdoc to develop novel cryo-EM image processing algorithms in RELION. In particular, we are planning to use modern machine-learning approaches to tackle the problem of 3D reconstruction in the presence of continuous flexibility. This project is an exciting collaborative effort with Carola Schoenlieb (Cambridge), Ozan Oktem (Edinburgh), the STFC/CCP-EM team and the Alan Turing Institute.
The position closes on January 7th: https://www.nature.com/naturecareers/job/postdoctoral-scientist-cdf-mrc-laboratory-of-molecular-biology-733297 I am happy to answer informal requests for information by email, and so is Tom Burnley at CCP-EM (tom.burn...@stfc.ac.uk). Best, Sjors PS: If you happen to have friends/colleagues in the applied maths or machine-learning community who might be interested, I would appreciate you pointing them towards this opportunity. -- Sjors Scheres MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology Francis Crick Avenue, Cambridge Biomedical Campus Cambridge CB2 0QH, U.K. tel: +44 (0)1223 267061 http://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/groups/scheres ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
