Bad advice. This is the exactly same reason why installing from CPAN
is not recommended under CentOS.

RPM is designed to prevent you from installing something that could
risk breaking your system. Whenever you use --force you are telling
RPM to stop doing that. This is a bad idea.

And remember: If you break it, you get to keep the pieces.
