They have been saying this for over a year but I have not seen any break down by 
country or proof. I think this number includes all CF, Homesite and eval download plus 
a factor for illegal
copies... and is therefore a bit high.

I can tell you that there are approx 10,000 CFUG members worldwide who come to 
meetings regularly as we shipped tag poster to all of them. Also based on what I have 
seen in the DC area maybe
for every CFUG member there are 20 other developers who don't come to meetings. So 
that would be 10000 x 20 is 200,000 CFers estimate.

CFDJ says they sell 30,000 mags per month. So that is another lower limit.

Allr Dev Con takes 2000 people. But at $900 conf plus $1000 hotel/airfare only a small 
fraction of folks can do this.

There used to be 2000 Allaire partners - allow 5-10 programmers each. That is say 
20,000 partner programmers. Another number.

I would be interested in any other estimates people have and how they figured them.
