Although...the real issue is that you are on a shared host who is restricting you. Why not move to a dedicated server? They could still manage it if you don't want to devote the resources to managing it yourself. Dedicated boxes are pretty cheap these days if you look around. Besides, ecommerce on a shared system is inherently insecure. Security by obscurity and all that jazz...
