Just download SQL 2005 CTP2 and you will be fine in Vista.   It worked
with just SP 1 too, but what the heck, CTP2 works well.

You might want to do some other checking as well. last I heard the SQL 
2005 Dev Edition wouldn't work in Vista yet. If I remember right, I 
think Matt and Peter mentioned it in last weeks (this weeks?) CF Weekly 
as well.
