Joshua: I've seen this before and I've fixed it by deleting (or renaming) the "Searchable Help" folder in "[root drive]:\Program Files\Macromedia\ColdFusion Studio 5\Verity\collections". The next time you go to use the Help search, Studio will ask if you want to rebuild the indexes. Try that rather than a reinstall.
