At the end of the day, you can throw all of the OO concepts, patterns, and methodologies out the window if the code you write is too complex to follow or maintain. Using patterns for the sake of using patterns is just about the worst thing you can do. Knowing when to use a pattern and when to violate it is one of the marks of a truly experienced programmer. OO is tough stuff, and over time, you'll get it, but don't think that everything has to be fully OO in order to be a proper solution.

I'm SURE over time the model i'm currently using and my understanding of OO will improve ... but i don't think it will be in this direction. Who knows tho'? I'm a beginner and i'm sure i'm in for more surprises as things evolve. Nando ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
