query is not a portable web service data type - you can only create it
in CF and you can only consume it in CF - so I'd say Dave's
explanation is spot on: Axis needs a descriptor for QueryBean in the
WSDL in order to figure out how to serialize / de-serialize the web
service data.

I'll log an ER to see if it can be made a bit smarter...
